There are a lot of people that come to visit the United States each year. For them to enter the country they have to have a VISA of some sort.

One of the most popular VISA is called the j1 visa. It is provided for under the Mutual Education and Cultural Exchange Act of the United States. The legislation was a bill designed to try and encourage people from other countries and the United Stated to meet and get together for cultural, education and other social purposes.

It gives people the opportunity to come into the United States for short periods of time and experience what life is like in the United States. Foreign Aliens and Foreign nationals can enter our country and experience what life is like here.

After they visit our country foreign aliens are expected to return to their country and have a lot of experience and information that they can share about the United States. There are a lot of cultural and social experiences that a person or a group can encounter.

Sponsor Requirement

The visa j1 usa is a program that involves having a sponsor. The sponsor can be from an exchange program, or it can be an individual or a business. It depends on the reason that you wish to visit the United States.

Since the tragedy of September 11th, 2001 the entry requirements and visas for entrance into the United States are subject to a lot more scrutiny than in the past, but they are still possible to obtain. You just should be willing to put up with more questions than were asked in the past.

The VISA does not in itself guarantee admission to the United States, but as a rule if you have been granted a VISA then you will likely be able to enter barring any unforeseen issues or problems.  A VISA allows a foreign citizen to travel to one of the ports of entry and request entrance to the United States, to ask permission to enter the United States from the U.S. Border Patrol or the Department of Homeland Security.

Qualifications for a J-1 Visa

-You state that you would like to be in the United States for a set  limited period of time. This period will be specific, and temporary.

-You show that you have access to money that will meet you your needs while you are in the United States. Sometimes this can be as simple as demonstrating that your sponsor will assist you in the financial department.

-You show economic and social ties, such as family, from abroad and evidence of your binding ties to your home country of origin that will help show that you intend to return to your country of origin after your VISA has expired.

Entering the United States is a honor and something that will give you a lot of positive experiences, but its also something that takes completion of all the necessary items.
