Help with Filing Biographic Information: G-325A
Everyone coming to the United States and applying through USICS for any type of visa or status must complete biographic information. The biographic information allows the USCIS to contact you in case they have questions regarding your application. It also allows USCIS officials to confirm your identity and check any possible criminal history.
Tips for Completing Biographic Information Forms
- Be honest and thorough in your answers as providing false information on immigrations forms is a serious offense and can result in permanent denial of admission into the U.S.
- The form is very short but requires detailed information such as:
- Your current and prior addresses for the last five years including dates for each residence
- Your current and prior employers for the past five years along with contact information and dates of employment for each
- Your current and prior marriages along with contact information for each spouse and dates of marriage and termination of marriage
It is best to gather all necessary documents before completing the application so you have accurate information regarding dates and addresses. DO NOT GUESS OR MAKE UP INFORMATION
Biographic information will be the most basic form you will complete for USCIS and you should not need professional help completing it. As long as you have the details you need to answer the questions completely and honestly, there should not be a problem. As with all USICS forms, if you have questions or concerns, you should contact USCIS either by going to the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov or by calling the National Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.
