We have implemented new, innovative processes to fundamentally change the way USCIS customers are served. Among the innovations are:

INFOPASS – Is an Internet-based appointment system that will enable the public to go online and make an appointment to schedule a date and time to meet with an Immigration Information Officer (IIO) avoiding the need to wait in line. Applicants can access InfoPass system by logging on the Internet at http://infopass.uscis.gov.

Gilroy/Hollister/Salinas/Watsonville Mobile Information Unit – To better serve customers who live in remote areas or lack transportation, the staff from the San Jose Office regularly travels to nearby communities. The itinerary for the mobile units are closely coordinated with area community groups.

Immigration Workshops – San Jose presents a series of workshops in ourCommunity Outreach Room to provide immigration information to the public. Other workshops are also being held at different locations as requested by other Community Based Organizations (CBOs) on various immigration topics.

Status Inquiry Fax Line - We are accepting status inquiries by fax if you live within the jurisdiction of the USCIS San Jose sub office that includes the counties of San Benito, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and Monterey
