What is the US Citizenship Process and how do I participate in the Naturalization Ceremony?

If you meet the citizenship requirements, you can become a U.S. citizen by applying for citizenship.  The ceremony in which you take the citizenship oath is actually the last step in the naturalization process.  The first step is the completion of the application citizenship form N400 which will require a great deal of personal information about you and your personal history.  In order to become a citizen, you must also pay a citizenship application fee.  There will be a medical examination and personal interview as well. 

Once everything is approved, you will be invited to a naturalization ceremony or you can take the oath with an immigration official without a ceremony.  The naturalization ceremony can be a very inspirational event for new and current citizens alike.  The ceremony usually consists of inspirational speakers, music and of course the taking of the oath.  All the new citizens stand and take the oath at one time together.
