US Citizenship

US citizenship is the process by which an individual must go through to live legally within the United States. For those residents that are born within the United States or go through the naturalization process, US citizenship is theirs. It is considered to be a great privilege to receive US citizenship as it entitles the individual to all of the rights, benefits, and responsibilities that come along with it. For those legal immigrants that hope to receive US citizenship, there is a rather lengthy process whereby the individual must learn about the principles by which the country is founded on. Many people apply for US citizenship each and every year in hopes of seeking out the better life that they believe they can find within the country. Currently the two main ways that an individual may gain US citizenship is through birth or naturalization with very few exceptions.
