Citizens of the United States wishing to enter Russia must have an entry visa. The Consulate General of the Russian Federation issues several different types of visas depending on the duration of the stay in Russia. Regardless of the type of visa issued the Russian Consulate requires the following documents: a visa application; a valid national passport; 2 standard passport pictures; and a money order or certified bank check payable to the Russian Consulate. The visa processing fees for a single entry or double entry visa is $131 with a processing time of 4 to 21 business days or $250 for an expedited processing of up to 3 business days. For a multiple entry visa, fees are $150 for processing to be completed in 4 to 20 business days or $450 for an expedited processing within 3 business days. Types of visas that the Consulate processes include Tourist Visas, Business Visas, Private Visas, Student Visas, Work Visas, Transit Visas, and Diplomatic and Official Visas.
