Petition H1B

An H-1B Visa enables professionals in "Specialty Occupations" to come to the United States. An estimated 65,000 H-1B Visas are issued every year, and time limits vary. A holder of an H1-B Visa can apply for a Green Card if a company wants to sponsor his or her application. Applying via petition H1B is a relatively straightforward process. To complete a H1B Visa application, the candidate must obtain a job with a qualified sponsor located in the United States. The H1B employer files a H1B Visa Application of the behalf of the employee with the US Immigration Bureau. Individuals can not sponsor themselves, or apply for their own H1B visa. To qualify for the H1B Visa Program, the employee must work in a 'specialty occupation'. Specialty Occupations currently include: medical/health care, computing and IT, teaching, finance and banking, engineering, legal and pr/marketing.
