Mexican Illegal Immigrants

Mexicans have illegally crossed the border into the United States for a variety of reasons. The close proximity of Mexico to the border, along with the difference in the quality of life are some major contributing factors behind illegal immigration. Individuals immigrate to the US from Mexico for many of reasons, but once they successfully cross the border, they generally have two main goals. The first is to financially assist family members back home, and to bring more family members to the US. The second is to eventually obtain a Green Card, gaining permanent, legal residency in the United States. Many Mexican illegal immigrants come to the United States in search of a better life for themselves and their families, and endure harsh struggles and difficult journeys to arrive.
