H2B Extension

An H-2B Visa, which enables foreign workers to temporarily to come to the United States, can be awarded for various lengths of time.H-2B Visas are awarded for seasonal or temporary jobs, for a period of one year or less. H-2B Visas are considered temporary visas, but H2B holders can apply an extension during their stay. An applicant can extend their H2B Visa beyond the maximum of one year if the work they are performing has not been completed, and their services are still required by the employer. Like the basic H2B application, an H2B extension needs to be requested by the sponsoring company, not the employee himself. If you change jobs while you are in the United States, your new employer must complete a new H2B application or extension on your behalf.
