As a B1 visa is closely related through its specific use of being the type for a temporary visit for business purposes, the two types go hand in hand. However the B2 is the most common due to the fact that people would seek this out as they come on any sort of pleasure trip or vacation to the United States and require the proper clearance. This means that the consulate or embassy for which an individual seeks out and attempts to apply for their B2 visa must see their reasons for travel as legitimate and feel that the duration of time they are requesting is real. The biggest concern with these types of visas is people overstaying their stated duration.
